A team of student and staff researchers who all presented at the Black Awarding Gap & Decolonisation Forum in 2023 have since come together to work on a new digital archive dedicated to documenting and preserving the long history of Cambridge student resistance and futuring through anti-racist, decolonial and other social justice efforts across the university community.
They are currently seeking students, particularly undergraduates, to join the discussion in an online focus group: Thursday 13 June, 2.00-3.00pm.
- What types of materials and narratives should be included in the archive?
- How should the archive be organised to best serve its purpose?
- What would/should the future of preserving the memory and legacy of student resistance and futuring through anti-racist, decolonial and other social justice efforts within our university community look like?
- what are we currently not considering that we should include/be mindful of?
If you have thoughts to share on any of these questions, you would be most welcome!
Please register ahead of time by emailing contact@blackadvisory.hub.cam.ac.uk (we will forward your details onto the student facilitators, who will then send you a link to join the online meeting).
