Black Advisory Hub

We are currently seeking ten student co-facilitators for the third annual First Year Induction Programme for new Black students arriving at Cambridge. This programme was initially formed in response to feedback from Black students that they would value an opportunity to network and be informed about university and college resources and support services, as well as information about extra-curricula opportunities, before they arrived at Cambridge.

We are therefore looking for enthusiastic students willing to share their insights and experiences with new students. The work will involve helping with breakout sessions or panel conversations in the online pre-term event (21 September) and/or to co-design the follow-up in-person events to be held a few weeks into term, for either undergraduate or postgraduate students.

To apply, please fill in this application form by Friday 11th August.

Roles: Ten Cambridge students (undergrad or postgrad) as co-facilitators of the Induction Programme
Rate of pay: Grade 5 Level 1 on a temporary contract (£15.52 per hour) for approximately 10 hours per student
Scheme of work: 2 training meetings, 1 online event (pre-term in September) and/or one of 2 in-person evening events (October 19 or 26)
